Worth it?

Many say that if you do not change yourself you can not change the world. If you do not do the internal revolution you can not do the outside. Always agree with this idea. But those who condemn the Constitution concentrations do not understand that the world has already made this change.

Apart from apolitical people there and how many others belong to political parties but decided to go down without a sign of the political space they deserve. When concentration is again at least 50000 people (Sunday 29/5) and not a political flag? Only in celebration of sports teams and the concentrations of Macedonia have made them. Nothing has changed for these people?

Put another unprecedented by Greek standards, dialogue! What is missing from our society! Anyone attend the meetings will occupy its own. The primary fermentation of ideas.

Or does not change is that concentration for 6 days and has not been a single episode? That mothers with strollers go down the path that never went down. Or grandmothers who cook food for the gathering? Upon this solidarity is not the result of an internal change, then what is?

The "serpent column" and its importance for Greece

Watching a BBC documentary about the ancient Delphi (love of foreigners in ancient Greek history is amazing) which has been referred to the "serpent column," I had the opportunity to write about this monument and its importance for Greece.

After the battle of Plataea , which was the last battle in the second campaign of the Persians, the Greeks showed the superiority of their war against the Persians. The battle of Plataea with the battle of Mycale is not as well known as the Battle of Thermopylae, Marathon or Salamis, perhaps because they were both known acts of bravery or smart strategies, although no doubt there would be. This battle, however, marked the end of the war, the victory of the ancient Greeks against the "barbarians." What makes it unique is the fact that the base (on the snake) is written and the 31 city-states fought against the Persians.
